Continuing our series of failed surgeries & treate...

Continuing our series of failed surgeries & treated further by Dr Vikas Jain. https://youtu.be/8UIjugqjE-8 Here I am sharing a case of 30 yr old Mr Ankit Dalvi from Indore who was diagnosed of bilateral hip avn grade 2 & underwent surgical core decompression with stem cells(Ossgrow) in January 2022. After being told to stay in bed for 1.5 months, the pain gradually kept on worsening & he was unable to walk without any support for 6 months till sept 2022. Losing all hope & having difficulty during 9 months in 2022, he presented to Dr Vikas Jain & team & underwent both hips Direct Anterior hip replacement surgery. He was able to walk within 24 hours, left walker in 5 days & Now he is doing completely fine & able to walk upto 6 kms daily without any pain or restrictions in activities. Core decompression with stem cells is very successful but only in stage 0 & 1 of hip avn. Here in this patient, in stage 2 it was not recommended & bound to fail. Dr Vikas Jain is an Super specialist Hip joint Orthopaedic surgeon based in the cleanest city of India -Indore dealing mainly with Hip Joint & restoring patients back to their life. Patients from all over India have visited our centre for hip procedures & have been able to happily return to their life. Dear all, just sharing certain information regarding hip avn- 1. In early stages of avn- especially stage 0 certain medications such as ecospirin & possibly ayurveda can help. 2. Core decompression with stem cells is a very successful procedure in stage 0 & 1 avn. Success rate around 89 percent. Chances of failure are present in patients who have been given steroids. Ossgrow or any other core decompression is not helpful after stage 1. 3. Beyond that, even in stage 2 avn , the best option is of Total Hip replacement. With success rate almost 99 percent, Direct Anterior Total Hip replacement technique, patients have absolutely zero precautions, less pain, equal limb lengths. 4. Direct Anterior hip replacement technique is possible even in young patients. With this technique 3 times hip replacement can be performed, with each replacement using modern implants lasting 20-30 years. So there is support for an entire lifetime. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask, I'll be more than happy to help.
